The Police Department operates under three divisions: Administration, Operations and Support Services. Administration manages the overall business responsibilities of the Police Department. It is the "behind the scenes" catalyst for the day-to-day details of the organization. The Operations Division is the most visible component of the Police Department. It has responsibilities and oversight for all field operations within the City. This includes uniformed police officers and civilian support that respond to crimes in progress, and those currently being reported. The Support Services Division is considered the core of the Police Department. It is responsible for investigative follow-up, and all internal operations.
