The business community is continuously under attack by shrewd, cunning criminals who know how to make a good living at your expense. For this reason, it is vital for the business community to become more aware of security. To help accomplish this, the Buena Park Police Department would like to advise you of the following programs available at no cost to you.

BUSINESS ALERT - An information and awareness program designed to help businesses protect themselves and each other from victimization.

BUSINESS SECURITY - A service provided to assist you in identifying areas of concern for your business security.

INSPECTIONS - A walk-through, on-site inspection is performed with you and a written evaluation will be provided as a reference.

ALARM INFORMATION - An alarm permit is required in Buena Park and it is important to know your responsibility in terms of fines associated with a malfunctioning alarm. Questions or concerns regarding Residential or Commercial alarms may be referred to the alarm officer at 562-3993.

SPEAKER'S BUREAU - Experienced police personnel are available for presentations on crime-related topics including personal protection, shoplifting, burglary, robbery, check and credit-card fraud, employee theft and bad checks. To schedule a speaker, call 562-3993.

CRIME ALERT - Related businesses such as financial institutions or hotels, in cooperation with the police department, meet quarterly to discuss current crime trends specific to their establishments, maintain close communications with each other and with the police department via fax networks.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS - A custom-designed program to prepare your organization for natural disasters can be developed with the help of the Orange County Fire Authority's Battalion Chief and with your company's needs in mind.
