![]() On March 10, 2011, the City of Buena Park appointed Corey S. Sianez as its ninth Chief of Police. A native Californian, Chief Sianez began his law enforcement career at the age of 21 with the Buena Park Police Department. During his steadfast career of 31 years, he has risen through the ranks serving in various specialized assignments including Motors, SWAT, Burglary, Robbery, Homicide and Internal Affairs. Additionally, he served as Captain in both the Operations and Support Services Divisions. He was the primary catalyst for completing the first Five-Year Strategic Plan in the history of the Department. Chief Sianez is a true believer in “Commitment to Service” and being responsive to the needs of the community we serve. He values the employees of the Buena Park Police Department and is devoted to ensuring that they receive the best possible training and equipment in order that they can provide the highest quality service to their customer, “The Buena Park Community.” Chief Sianez attended California State University, Long Beach, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Studies. He is also a graduate of the P.O.S.T. Command College, Class 37. He is a well-known, active member of the Buena Park Community, sitting as a Board member for the Boys & Girls Club, as well as a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Chief Sianez’ professional memberships include the California Police Chiefs’ Association, as well as the Orange County Chiefs of Police and Sheriff’s Association, where he assists in establishing protocol for the Orange County area. |
